Click-through Rate (CTR)

Click-through Rate (CTR)The average number of click-through per hundred ad impressions, expressed as a percentage.

Cost-per-Click (CPC)

The cost or cost-equivalent paid per click-through.

Pay per Click (PPC)

Online advertising payment model in which payment is based solely on qualifying click-through.

Web Site Traffic

The amount of visitors a Web site receives measured in number of visits, pageviews or hits.

Web Site Ranking

The average position of a page of a website in a given search engine’s result query page for a specific keyword or combination of keywords.

Conversion

A visitor that performs a previously defined goal in the web site. i.e. click in a link, visit a page, download a file, etc.

Digital Marketing

The combination of science and art that allows to fulfill the specific desires, needs and preferences of a pre-defined audience (market) with the highest intensity, using the world wide web as the channel to interact, inform and transact.

Content Management System (CMS)

System that allows users to administer the content of a website via a group of forms and WYSIWYG editors.

WYSIWYG Editor

WYSIWYG stands for “What you see is what you get.” I helps users style and modify the markup of content in textareas of a website by utilizing simple to use buttons and icons.

Marketing-Driven Website

A website that is designed to fulfill the needs of a particular audience. It considers the products and services, the pricing structure, the domains and place of web distribution and website promotion -> Website Promotion is composed of:

  • Website Advertising (PPC, Banner Ads, etc.)
  • Website Sales Promotion (Discounts, Coupons, Offers, etc)
  • Website Public Relations – Publicity (Newspaper Mentions, Interviews, etc)
  • Website Direct Sales (eCommerce – Upselling, etc)
